Expanding and Collapsing all Components in the SolidWorks Model Tree

Thursday May 23, 2013 at 3:40pm
Expanding and Collapsing all Components in the SolidWorks Model Tree With the new 2013 functionality of producing a new flat view for parts,
wouldn’t it be useful to have a similar setting for Assemblies?

Flat Tree view can also be activated by Ctrl + T

In Assemblies, if you select the top level assembly in the Feature Manger and press the Asterisk Key (*)

To collapse the tree again, you can Right Click and select Collapse Items or the keyboard shortcut, Shift + C

CollapseThis can be useful when using the some of the Select options, which do not automatically expand the model tree.
